1. Create a Google Analytics Account
- Go to Google Analytics.
- Sign in with your Google account (or create one if you don’t have it).
- Click Start Measuring to begin the setup process.
- Enter your Account Name (this could be your website or business name).
- Choose your data sharing settings (optional), and click Next.
2. Set Up a Property
- Enter a Property Name (usually your website name).
- Select your time zone and currency.
- Choose Google Analytics 4 (the latest version) for the property type.
- Click Next.
3. Enter Business Info
- Select your industry category and business size.
- Choose how you plan to use Google Analytics (e.g., measure conversions, user engagement).
- Click Create.
4. Get Tracking Code
- After creating the property, you’ll see a screen with your Tracking ID and a Global Site Tag (a piece of JavaScript code).
- Copy this code.
5. Install the Tracking Code on Your Website
- Paste the tracking code on your website, just before the closing
</head>
tag. - If you’re using AdZilla, go to Tracking & Pixel section to paste your code in the header field.
6. Verify Installation
- After installing the code, return to Google Analytics.
- Click on Admin > Data Streams > Web to check if your website is sending data.
7. Start Tracking
- Once everything is set up, Google Analytics will begin tracking traffic, user behavior, and other data from your site.
- You can view your reports under the Reports section of Google Analytics.
